Assignment Fields to Ignore Tab

The Assignment Fields to Ignore tab will instruct the Change Recorder what Assignment Fields shall not be recorded.

Fields to Ignore List

This list will contain all of the assignment fields chosen to ignore changes to. An item can be deleted from the list by clicking on it and pressing the DELETE key on the keyboard.

An item can also be changed to a different field by clicking on it and then opening the menu that appears:

Add Record Button

Click this button to add a new task field to the list of fields that will be ignored. Clicking this button will open this form:

Click the drop-down button on the selection box to choose a field. To add that field to the list, click the Add Record button.

Click Cancel to exit.

Clear Entire List Button

Clicking this button will clear the entire list of fields to ignore.

Assignment-level data stored in custom fields (such as Text10) is maintained separately for the Task Usage and Resource Usage views in Microsoft Project. Although both views display assignment data, Microsoft Project treats the assignments in each view as distinct entities. As a result, the Change Tracking Tools provide separate options for Resource Usage and Task Usage assignment fields.
