Each activity in a connecting path can have two separate Driving Slack values calculated:
The amount of Driving Slack the connecting path activity has from the starting point: This value tells us how many days the starting activity of the connecting path could be delayed before it begins to drive the Connecting Path activity.
The amount of Driving Slack the connecting path activity has to the ending point: This value tells us how many days a Connecting Path activity could be delayed before it begins to drive the ending activity of the Connecting Path.
These two values are independent from each other and are calculated separately. The Directional Path tool has the ability to calculate these values and log them into custom Number or Text fields:
