Once SPD files have been generated, they must be zipped into a single file. It's highly recommended to run this file against the US Department of Defense's official SPD Validator tool prior to uploading it anywhere.
Where can I download the SPD Validator?
Currently, there are two DoD approved validator tools. Both can be accessed from this site. Note that both of these tools are not created or managed by SSI, and are not included in the SSI Toolset.
The first (and currently preferred SPD Validator Tool) can be downloaded from this link.
This will download a zip file that can be unzipped with the password EVM TOOL.
The second (and older) SPD Validator Tool can be downloaded by following this link.

How can I use the Validator Tool?
Documentation for how to use the SPD Validator tool will be included in the
zip file that is downloaded. Once the validator application has been launched, simply upload your zipped SPD file to the validator. The validator will process the SPD and return the validation results.
