Use this tool to select the end date for a task. Shown below is how this tool is different than simply entering an end date in the Finish column.
Microsoft Project adds a constraint date (Start or Finish No Earlier Than) when you type or pick a data in a task’s Start or Finish column. The SSI calendar tool does not add constraints dates if it is possible to set at date with one.
Microsoft Project does not change a task’s duration when you type or pick a new finish date. Instead, Project splits the task, if it is in progress or “pulls” the task to the finish date if it is not in progress. The SSI calendar tool increases or decreases a task's duration to reach the selected end date
Controls on the SSI Calendar Pop-up
Left/Right and Up/Down Navigation buttons advance to the next or previous Month, Year or Task in the project.
Double-click an un-shaded date to use for the selected task.
Double-click a shaded date to advance to the next or prior Month.
