When a task has no QBD Steps identified, you have three options for adding steps
1. First, you can add each step one at a time by clicking the button named Add Steps and completing the QBD Step.

2. Second, you can pick a QBD Steps template from the drop-down list named Use a Template for QBD Steps

3. The third method is to import QBD steps by clicking the button named Import Steps for Tasksin this Project. Select an Excel file with columns for Unique ID, Task Name, Step Description, Step Value and Step Complete. You can import an Excel worksheet with QBD Steps for one, many or all the tasks in a project.
